Reflections is a setting from one of Ian Emberson's poems of the same name. It comes from his 1986 collection: Swallows Return. The piece commences calmly, describing a "magic space" at the bottom of a pool. The flute adds a simple decorative element to the piece, emulating the ripples on the water. It is ideal for soprano voice, but may be sung by other voices. Compass is C3 to G4 and the piece is about 2 mins. 25 in duration.
